How do you plan for success?

Hello, and thank you for visiting the Got It! Academics website.

I offer in-person and online tutoring services as well as consulting services for the college application process and for those seeking employment in consulting and finance industries. Students can also receive 1:1 or 2:1 guidance in the following subjects and foreign languages (PreAP or AP and IB SL/HL where applicable):

  • English (elementary up to AP Literature):  reading and writing
  • Social Studies (World History, US History, Government, Economics)
  • Math (elementary up to Algebra II)
  • Spanish (beginner up to Spanish V)
  • Korean (beginner up to business Korean)
  • Chinese (beginner up to business Chinese)
  • Test preparation (the new SAT, ACT, Math IC & IIC, ISEE)

  • College application process
  • Law school application process (LSAT strategy, personal statement, interview coaching)*; please see footnote at the bottom of the page
  • Job search / application process (interview coaching, resume revising, personal statement outlining and revising)
  • Financial modeling (income approach, market approach) / general Excel skills

Registration is ongoing on a rolling basis subject to availability.  Current availability is as follows:

  • Mon, Wed, Thurs: 7pm or later in Downtown or Memorial/Westchase area
  • Saturday and Sunday in Memorial/Westchase area

Bio

After graduating from Katy Taylor High School, Ms. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies through the Huntsman Program of the Wharton School and College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.  Upon graduation, she worked in valuation advisory in Los Angeles, then in investment management in Shanghai.

Upon deciding to give back to society through education, Ms. Kim moved back to Houston and began teaching seventh grade English at KIPP Sharpstown College Prep, then K-5 at Talent Unbound Galleria & Katy.  Ms. Kim is currently developing a website to help students receive essay feedback more easily while offering 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 guidance in various subject areas.
